As of 4/2022 a contact manager is not built into the ClearlyIP desktop softphone application. This functionality is planned in the near future.
The vision for the future functionality is to have a multiple contact sources that SYNC to the application. All other softphone applications require that contacts be maintained in the app. In our application we will sync them with data sources that are already maintained.
For example once we connect to the contacts in Outlook, you will see those contacts in Clearly but still maintain changes, additions, and deletions in Outlook.
This will hold true for other data sources as well like 'Testing Nirvana' and 'Total View School'. In this way you can use one application for all of your SMS/MMS conversations without having to maintain data in multiple places.
In the meanwhile a work around is to use the click to dial functionality in the web browser or cut and paste the phone number into the ClearlyIP application as shown below.
